EC.S.O.

Sir,

Government House,

25th. June, 1908.

I have the honour to acknowledge the

receipt of Your Excellency's letter No. A/2875/18 dated the 22nd.

instant on the subject of the proposed road and reclaration of the

foreshore at North Point.

2. As the matter is being referred to the War

Office it is not necessary for me now to deal with it further beyond

to point out that the assumption in para. 4 of Your Excellency's

letter that the reclamation between Arsenal Street and Kellett

İsland will be carried out before that at North Point is incorrect

and also that the Kowloon reclamation referred to in para.6 of that

letter is not the one to which reference was made in para 5 of mine

to which it is a reply.

3. I have to express my thanks for the plan

showing the arcs of fire of the guns at North Point Eattery, which

plan I presume should be treated as confidential, and I shall be

obliged if Your Excellency will furnish me with information to be

similarly treated, as to the height of the trunnions of these guns

above the latum to which the Admiralty Charts are referred.

I have fc.

S1. M.Nathan,

Governor fc.

CALLENCY

THE GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING.
